12 Days Combination of Uganda’s Wildlife, Gorillas and Chimpanzee Trekking, Uganda safari offers travelers an opportunity to take part in several activities in Uganda including chimpanzee trekking, gorilla trekking, wildlife viewing/boat cruise along the Kazinga channel, birding and visiting the Batwa pygmies. You will get an opportunity to visit Kibale forest national park, queen Elizabeth national park and Bwindi impenetrable national park, the journey begins with a stopover at Kibale national park for chimpanzee tracking, and other twelve primate species. Day 1: Transfer from Entebbe to Murchison Falls via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
After a hearty breakfast your journey begins with a transfer from hotel in Entebbe/ Kampala to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary a captivating journey through the heart of Uganda’s lush landscapes and wildlife rich regions. Upon reaching Ziwa Rhino sanctuary and a warm welcome, embark on an incredible rhino trekking experience accompanied by knowledgeable guides, you’ll track these magnificent creatures coming within a safe distance to observe their behavior up close you’ll also have a chance to partake in a rare bird watching opportunity through Ziwa wetlands binoculars in hand, on the trail of the elusive shoebill a prehistoric looking bird. After tracking you will have your lunch as you relax your body for another exhaling journey, after lunch you will continue with your journey to the world’s greatest waterfalls.
As the sun is setting, the evening will be crowned with an inspiring evening game drive, promising sightings of elephants, lions, giraffes and more as you arrive at the Murchison Fall National Park, check in your accommodation as you prepare for dinner and overnight stay at Ikorom safari lodge/ Hornbill safari lodge/ Tilenga safari lodge
Day 2: Game Drive and Boat Cruise to the Bottom of the fall
Rise up with a sun to an African breakfast. Begin your morning with an exhilarating game drive, exploring the park’s diverse wildlife and searching for iconic African wildlife (The Big 5 animals) including elephants, lions, giraffes, buffalo, leopards, Kobs and birds such as hornbill, vultures and so many bird species.
After the game drive, drive back to the lodge for a delicious lunch, thereafter, embark on a leisurely boat cruise along the Nile River, while on boat you will be able to see schools of hippos, crocodiles and other wildlife come for water such as elephants, buffaloes, water bunks and a myriad of bird species and much more. (Optional) or you can decide to the top of the fall, hiking through Baker’s trail and also be able to stand at Baker’s stone bringing you closer to the bottom of the falls, this hike is a bit tuff but it’s fascinating as you will enjoy to see the fall at different points and finally when you reach at the top of the falls you will be amazed and eventually forget about the tuff hike. Day 3: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
After breakfast you will be ready to embark on your journey to Kibale National Park the Primate Capital of East Africa. The journey will take you through the country side it’s about 4-5 hours’ drive to Fort portal with En-route lunch at Hoima city /fort portal city. Kibale forest National park is the best safari destination in Africa with almost 13 species of primates where chimpanzee is some most visited. Day 4: Chimpanzee Trekking In Kibale Forest National Park
After your morning breakfast, you will be transferred to the park headquarters for a short briefing before starting to track the chimpanzee, the experienced guide will lead you through the tropical forest for the unforgettable and reward experience in search for closest relatives of the chimpanzee, after an hour with them return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. Later in the afternoon connect for a nature walk in Bigodi wetland then go for a swamp walk this walk-through the wetlands will bring you close to nature, which will also give you a chance to see some primates like black and white colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, grey mangabey, red-tailed monkey, L’host monkey and many bird species such as blue turaco, hornbill among others, you will have a chance to meet the community and have a coffee experience, banana, brewing and conversations wine the medicine man, this activity allows you spend more time in the forest learning more about the life of the primates.

Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After early morning breakfast you will be transferred to Queen Elizabeth national park another scenic drive of the foot hills of Mountain Ruwenzori seeing Glaciation on a clear day, Banana plantation, tomatoes plantations, cotton, Tea plantations through Kasese town a very famous coper mining town in Uganda. On arriving, you will check in at your lodge,
have your lunch after you go for a leisurely evening game drive here will be in a savannah park with a chance to spot leopard on your lucky day when they are planning to go where they sleep from, herds of buffaloes and abundance of bird life. Day 6: Game Drive in Most Visited Popular Park in Uganda Queen Elizabeth National Park
After your morning breakfast will go for game drive in Kasenyi plain or Mweya peninsula having a chance of seeing herds of buffaloes, elephants, bush backs, water bunks, warthogs, lions ,leopards, hyenas, some bird species like jacana, pelican, grey crown crane the Uganda’s national bird, savanna birds grey heron and much more return to lodge for lunch and in after noon go for boat ride on Kazinga channel which connect two lakes l. George and L. Edward, the channel is 40km and is the big construction of hippos in Uganda followed by Murchison falls which is mostly see at hippo pool, while on boat you will able to see schools of , hippos, crocodiles, monitor lizards, some wildlife come for water on the shores of the channel such as elephants, buffaloes, water bunks, Kobs and so many birds species like pied king fishers, African fish eagle, cormorants, African darter, pelicans, spoon bill, marabou stalk, cattle egrets and much more back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Tembo safari lodge/ Pumba safari lodge/ Bush lodge
Day 7: Transfer to Ishasha Sector for Tree Climbing Lions
After your morning breakfast, check out of the safari lodge and transfer to Ishasha sector for a game drive to track the tree-climbing lions, water buck/ Topi antelopes, herds of buffaloes, leopards, elephants, Uganda Kobs, and much more wildlife, after go for lunch at Topi safari lodge. After lunch, check in your lodge freshen up and relax around the park as you wait for your dinner and overnight stay at Topi safari lodge
Day 8: Bid Farewell to Queen Elizabeth and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
After your morning breakfast, check out of your lodges and be transferred to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest national park with an exhaling game drive through the Ishasha sector with an En-route lunch in an African Restaurant after lunch, procced to Bwindi Forest national park driving throaty hills, mountains and terraced land prepared for local agriculture. Day 9: Gorilla Trekking and Batwa Cultural Experience
After your early morning breakfast with your cameras, hiking boot, long trousers, long Slive shirts, rain jackets and a pair of gloves, will be transferred to the park offices/ headquarters for briefing on what to expect during your Gorilla trekking / trekking activity. With your packed lunch, you will set into the impenetrable forest to look for the gentle giants which will take 2 to 5 hours depends on their movements when you find them, will be allowed to spend one hour with them studying their way of playing, feeding, nurturing young ones take photos as many as can for memory, here you will be 100% seeing them no disappointment here, after an hour with them back to the park head offices to be awarded the certificate of trekking these giants. Trekking Mountain Gorillas will be rewarded by a signed Gorilla trekking certificate with your name on it as a memory to share with family and friends. Return to lodge for refreshments and a few minutes of relaxation before you get into Batwa cultural experience here learn the way they dress, their food, their life style, a people indigenous to the Ituri forest of Congo. Day 10: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park for Night Game Drive
Start your day with checking out of the lodge have your breakfast, after the breakfast embark on an exhaling journey to Lake Mburo National Park. Upon reaching in the afternoon check into your accommodation rest as you enjoy your lunch, with the first light of dawn, venture into the heart of the park in an evening game drive, encountering the diverse wildlife that calls Lake Mburo home. Keep your camera ready for zebras grazing gracefully, impalas darting through the savannah, and maybe even a curious giraffe ambling by, the open savannah landscapes of Lake Mburo provide picturesque backdrops for your game drive. Day 11: Guided Nature Walk and Boat Cruise
After your morning breakfast, embark on a guided nature walk, allowing you to explore the finer details of Lake Mburo’s ecosystem, traverse through acacia woodlands, grassy valleys and the shores of Lake Mburo itself as you unveil the secrets of the park, from its smallest insects to the majestic mammals. The nature walk offers intimate encounters with nature keep an eye out for tracks, signs of wildlife and the vibrant birdlife that inhabits the park this walking safari allows you to appreciate the sights, sounds, and scents of Lake Mburo in a more immersive way. Day 12: Transfer Back To Kampala / Entebbe International Airport for Departure
This is the last day of the safari and you will wake up at your own time preparing for your departure time the driver guide will follow another route with a stopover at Igongo culture Centre in Mbarara for lunch and equator experience at Kayabwe for photographs, if time allows, we shall also have a stopover at the Buganda royal drum makers to learn how giant drums were crafted. we hope that you enjoyed your stay in Uganda. The driver will drop you at the airport Entebbe airport for departure.
