Climbing Lions in Ishasha Sector Queen Elizabeth National park; climbing lions it not so common in the world but actually lions climbs trees. There are not more than two populations in the world where the lions do climbs trees as one of their day after day behaviors. One of the populations of those climbing lions are found in Ishasha sector the southern part of Queen Elizabeth national park in Uganda  and the second population is found lake Manyara national park in the southern park of Tanzania generally the climbing lions population are found in East Africa in two countries that is Uganda and Tanzania.

Why do lions climbs tree; the lions climbs trees in the Ishasha sector  to escape from biting insects like the tsetse flies which bites them when the ground, they also want to cool them selves as you know the higher you go the cooler it comes, these lions climbs to cool them selves since the has no sweat glands and when ground they over pant so they climb up for cooling.

They climb to search animals to prey on; the vegetations cover of the area not allow them to see far or search for food that why they climb trees to search animals to prey on when time comes for hunting for food, the grass are so tall which cause the animals like the kob, topi, warthogs among others hide so they come up climbing the trees to stop their prey.

The presence of fig trees; these tree species is grown horizontally branches which allows the lions lied on during the days after days climbing successfully , the fig trees having branches which next to the ground allowing lions to climbs nonetheless the reason why they climbing is still unknown because some lions Murchison falls national park have seen climbing and along the Kasenyi plains in queen Elizabeth national park but this time around they climb on Acacia tree and other trees around most especially to cool them selves and stop their prey.
