Explore Murchison falls national park, Murchison falls national park where first gazetted as a game reserve 1926 and letter in 1952 transforms as a national park, is the oldest and the biggest conservation area in Uganda. It has unique features like the sceneries is beautiful, the wildlife species and the bird species. The park covers an area of 5072skm this contains Murchison falls covers a distance of 3893skm, it has  76 different mammals species including rare one and noctonius like pangolin, animals such as  elephants, buffaloes, warthogs antelopes like Uganda kob, waterbuck , oribi, Jacksons hartebeest , giraffes and 461 bird species such as pied kingfisher, fish eagle, plovers, shoebill stork, vultures , bee-eaters and many other savanna birds, migratory  birds, water birds.

The park is given the named by sir Samuel baker , named the roaring falls in honor of the president of Royal Geographical Society, SIR FREDRICK MURCHISON in 1864.

Game drive in Murchison falls national park is done in either morning when the animals are very active and in the evening when the animals are coming back to there hiding place for night, on the game drive you have a chance of spotting the cat family like  the lions, leopards, hyenas, jackals, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, Uganda kob the country’s national animal, waterbuck, oribi, Jackson’s hartebeest, warthogs and bird species like bustard, bishops, saddle stork, moosebird, starling, woodpeckers, palm-nut vulture, lapwing among others.
