Tour Overview

The 5 days safari holiday will take you to Bwindi forest, Lake Mburo national park and Queen Elizabeth national parks the most visited park and popular one in Uganda, it’s found in western part of the country, Queen Elizabeth covers an area of 1978sqkm, from Kampala’s capital it covers a distance of 402km. it is classified with various ecosystems such as the dazzling lakes, Kazinga channel, extensive savannah, humid forests and also lush wetlands, together with Bwindi for gorillas.

The park is home to about 96mammal species, around 606 bird species only in Queen Elizabeth national park: You will be able to see big number of antelopes, crocodiles, hippos, pride of lions, leopards among others during game drive through the park and on boat cruise along the Kazinga channel which Bisects the park and connects the two lakes in park that is L. Edward & L. George. The park is also home to tree climbing lions that are found in the Ishasha sector and also various birds’ forest. As you also waiting to see to giants in the mist of  Bwindi forest.

  Detailed Itinerary

Day1. Travel from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Wake up early, enjoy your morning breakfast from the hotel after which you will be picked from there by your guide at 7:00am who will brief you and you embark on the 6 hours journey to Queen Elizabeth. Along the way you will have few stopovers at Semuliki national park to visit sempaya hot springs where the water is too hot up to 100degrees and boils an egg within 15minites, here you will take enough photographs and we have lunch either going or coming Semuliki after as you connecting to queen Elizabeth .

Thereafter proceed to the park as you drive through the spectacular landscape characterized with open grasslands  Reach the park in late afternoon and have a game drive as you drive to your lodge. Have dinner and overnight.

Day 2. Morning Game Drive And Afternoon Boat cruise

Begin your day with a delicious breakfast / cup of coffee/ tea before getting on with the game drive on different trail in the park including the Kasenyi plains.

Along the Kasenyi plains there is a great opportunity of seeing various animals like water bank, elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, lions’ warthogs as well as various bird. After the drive you will back to the lodge for lunch and relax after in afternoon you will take pleasure in cruising on a 2 hours boat safari on Kazinga channel that connect lake George and lake Edward while on boat you see a good  number of animals like hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, warthogs, elephants, kobs,  among others and also a collection of birds like the malachite, kingfishers, pink backed pelicans, on the banks of the channel and on trees back for dinner and overnight

Day 3.  Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via Ishasha Sector.

ON your third day of five days Uganda gorillas trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park in southwestern Uganda, and savannah parks you will be transferred to Bwindi forest south western part of Uganda. The drive from to Bwindi national park is between 4-7 hours. Although it may seem quite a long drive, it is worth it because you get to enjoy the countryside scenery with some of the most beautiful landscapes ranging from plantations, hills, all the way to the Virunga massive. Just keep your cameras near you so that you can take photos and your drive guide will stop in Ishasha sector to try your luck of tree climbing lions before go to En-route lunch around the park and you get beautiful moment.

After lunch you will proceed to Bwindi Forest national park dinner and overnight

Stay at;  Haven Gorilla Lodge Rushaga /broadbill lodge/ Bakiga lodge  Ruhija / KFC Mist Buhoma sector, depending on the location of the Gorilla permit.

Day 4 Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park Or Lake Bunyonyi  Optional

After your morning breakfast you will be transferred to park head offices companied with rain jacket, face mask, hiking boots, simply hiking gears, hand gloves for briefing as you are welcomed by local with dance and music, after briefing you will be allocate the group or family of gorillas you are going to trek then you enter the forest with armed rangers to start trekking gorillas in their habitants / forest  you will take 2 – 6 hours depending the movement of the gorillas on previous day after finding them you will be allowed to spend one hour with as you see they feed , playing , their lifestyle , take photos for the memory after come back to office and be awarded a certificate of trekking these giants. You would have place in your way back to have lunch because you have moved either your packed lunch , back to the lodge and check out then transfer to lake Mburo national park or lake Bunyonyi .

After you reached to l. Mburo national park for night game drive here you will be able to see animals which is more active at night like leopard and much more, birds such as owlet eagle, barn owl, red-crested owlet pennant-winged nightjar and much more

Day 5 Safari Walks In Mburo and Departure to Entebbe for Your Flight Back Home

AFTER breakfast check out of the lodge go for morning game walk to see wild life including impalas, zebras, giraffes, elands and others.  Or go for boat ride to the punishment’s island where Bakiga tribe tend to dump unmarried pregnant girls, the is the deepest lake in uganda and is the second deepest in Africa after lake Tanganyika in Tanzania, After you shall depart from Lake Mburo to Kampala /Entebbe Airport with lunch En-route and a stopover at the Uganda equator and also you can buy souvenir before reaching your destination
