8 Days Culture & Wildlife North Eastern Uganda Safari

Adventure the northern cultures and safari in Uganda for 8days, explore the great Murchison falls national park with the most powerful waterfall in the world, Uganda’s biggest national park with  your way to the park, game drive, boat cruise and  the true wildness of Kidepo valley and concluding with the ziwa visiting for rhino trekking.

Day by day itinerary for our Culture & Wildlife Uganda safari:88

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport and Transfer to your Booked Lodge

You will meet your safari tour guide at Entebbe airport and transfer to your booked accommodation either  Kampala  or Entebbe getting a first taste of Uganda as you arrive for our culture & wildlife Uganda safari.
Check-in at the hotel and relax after the flight and be ready for an early tomorrow.

Day 2: Transfer to Sipi Falls and Meeting the  Sebeyi Group of People 

Leave Kampala in the early morning and make the journey to Sipi Falls. The target is to arrive in time for lunch at the lodge. Sipi Falls offers stunning scenery and beautiful waterfalls. In the afternoon you go for a guided walk to see three of the water falls close up and experience the local coffee ceremony with the Sebeyi tribe.

Day 3: Transfer to Moroto Through Karamojong Wildness Area.

We leave the stunning views of Sipi Falls in the morning and start the journey to Moroto during our Culture & wildlife Uganda safari. We continue our journey off the beaten track by going through the tribes. It’s a very remote area with a scenic reserve, local people, markets in the most un touched area and remote village set up as the highlights.

Day 4: Transfer to  Kidepo Valley National Park & Game Drive.

You will set off from Moroto after breakfast to transfer to Kidepo Valley national park as we continue our culture & wildlife Uganda safari. Enter the park in a landscape of vast plains and semi-arid savannah framed by mountains and wooded hills, Kidepo is one of the wildest and most spectacular reserves in Africa. The landscape throughout the park is encountered with small hills and rocky outcrops from which one can obtain stunning views in all directions enjoy better sights for Kidepo Valley and photographic opportunities of wildlife from all corners. During the afternoon game-drive you can see elephants, herds of buffaloes, lions, leopard and cheetah.

Day5: Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Meeting with the Karamojong

Go for a morning game drive to Kanangorok hot spring area crossing the sand river (if there is water in the sand river game-drive in another area). A variety of animals can be seen roaming around including Ostrich. Connect back for lunch. In the afternoon have a cultural experience that will bring you into contact with Karamojong peoples at Karenna and Kapedo. Meet the local elders and have an opportunity to interact with them. They will show you the kraals, the grinding stones and many more interesting items.

Day 6: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

In the morning we drive out of Kidepo Valley National Park possibly spotting some interesting sights as we exit and start the journey to Murchison Falls national park for the next adventure during this Culture & wildlife Uganda safari. This day we transfer through Uganda’s biggest town in the Northern part, Gulu, and continue through the flat scenic landscape with local villages. It’s a long drive so we arrive at the lodge in the afternoon.

Day7: Game Drive & Boat Cruise in Murchison Falls National Park

In the morning we set off for a game-drive in Murchison Falls national park. On the broad savannah you search for Big cats, Elephants, Giraffes, Buffalos, plus more as the checklist of mammals reaches 76. We continue exploring the circuits to the delta point for a cocktail of birds and mammals. In the afternoon you go for the 2pm boat ride on the Nile to the base of Murchison Falls where you get to see the Hippos, Nile Crocodiles, Elephants and a variety of beautiful bird species along the banks. After the boat-cruise your guide picks you to head back to the lodge.

Day 8: Transfer to Entebbe via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

After breakfast at the lodge head towards Ziwa rhino sanctuary. At the sanctuary they are working to reintroduce rhinos to Uganda and you go for a trek to see these fascinating animals. Depending on time you then have lunch at the sanctuary or along the way. Continue on to Entebbe where your guide drops you off at the airport as we have finished our Uganda culture & wildlife safari.
