DAY 1: ARRIVAL AT ENTEBBE AIRPORT AND TRANSFER TO KAMPALA
Be met by your safari guide at Entebbe international airport for the start your 12 days Uganda safari with Hikes & primates. This first day you are taken to the hotel in Kampala to relax after the flight and be ready for an early start tomorrow.

DAY 2: TRANSFER TO KIBALE FOREST NATIONAL PARK
We leave Kampala in the early morning to set off towards the lodge by Kibale Forest. We target to have lunch in Fortportal town and proceed for an evening around in the Tropical forest. Pressure and fatigue is lessened as a punctuation of stopovers at sceneries, typical African village setup in the far countryside and tea plantations along the drive offer us chances of stretching. When entering the Kibale area we keep our eyes open since there is an amazing display of primates in this area. Monkey species.

DAY 3: CHIMPANZEE TREKKING IN KIBALE FOREST
Head into the forest of the Primate city of Kibale in the morning for chimpanzee trekking, the first great ape you will meet during this 12 days Uganda safari. Kibale Forest national park is a rainy forest and a home to over 1500 Chimpanzees. Here you have the chance to explore the chimps close up and capture shots of our closet friends in the jungle, building relationships, bringing up young ones, think and sharing food, plus rare bird species following them. there is also different species of monkeys in the jungle. After the trekking activity your guide picks you and takes you to the foothills of Rwenzori mountain to spend the night.

DAY 4: RWENZORI HIKING THROUGH THE MOUNTAIN FOREST ZONE
Get to the briefing and start the hike in the Rwenzori mountians in the morning. This days hike goes through the Afro mountain forest zone with a steady climb for about 6 kilometers. You then continue along a steep ridge towards Sine hut. Close to the hut the beautiful Enock waterfalls are found.

DAY 5: RWENZORI HIKING THROUGH BAMBOO ZONE TO SMALL LOBELIA GARDEN
This day you enter the Bamboo zone and head to Kalalama camp. At the camp you stop for a short rest then climb high before crossing a thick forest covered with hanging mosses to a small Lobelia garden. You then descend through a mossy ridge to Samalira camp where the night is spent.

DAY 6: RWENZORI HIKE DOWN & TRANSFER TO LODGE BY QUEEN ELIZABETH NP
We have reached the last day of the Rwenzori mountains hike and descend down through the Bamboo zone on to a heavily forest ridge. Continue down to the base camp as we have finished this part of the 12 days Uganda safari. Your guide picks you at the base camp and you make the journey to the lodge at the edge of Queen Elizabeth national park.

DAY 7: RELAXED MORNING AND BOAT-CRUISE ON KAZINGA CHANNEL
Enjoy a relaxed morning at the lodge taking in the view over Queen Elizabeth NP as you rest from the Rwenzori hike. Have lunch at the lodge and then get ready for the Classic highlights on the 2hrs Boat cruise on the famous Kazinga channel at 3pm, this is a 36kms channel linking Lake George – Lake Edward. Here you can see land and water Adapted Hippos and some slashing canines to each other and the Nile crocodile gaping along the Banks and Savannah version of Pigs the Warthog- Pumba of the award winning Lion King are a hallmark sign in this Animal home. With your Binoculars along the peninsula you have a magnificent view of Birds and animals like the ever playing African Elephants in Waters as we sigh and reset Fatigue and stress, to point zero.

DAY 8: TRANSFER TO ISHASHA SECTOR AND AFTERNOON GAME-DRIVE
After a relaxed breakfast we start the adventurous journey through the park to the southern Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth NP. If we are lucky we can see elephants, monkeys, beautiful birds and even big cats along the road-side. We arrive at the lodge for lunch and then in the afternoon head out for a game-drive to search for tree-climbing lions during our 12 days Uganda safari. The Ishasha sector is one of only two locations in Africa where the lions have the habit of regularly climbing the trees to rest. During the game-drive we also have chance to see topis, buffaloes and lovely scenery.

DAY 9: TRANSFER TO BWINDI MOUNTAINS – GORILLA TREKKING
After a relaxed breakfast we start the journey to the mountains of Bwindi. This journey offers stunning views as we transfer from a landscape of savanna, via cultivated hills to the forest covered mountains of Bwindi. Have lunch and continue the journey to the lodge in the evening and get ready for tomorrows gorilla trekking.

DAY 10: GORILLA TREKKING DAY- BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is the home to the forest giants that are friendly to human beings, the mountain gorillas, and here you will have one of the highlight of this 12 days Uganda safari; the gorilla trekking. In the morning you head into the jungle in a group with a specialized guide and trek up to the point where the gorillas are. You then get to spend one hour with these gentle giants. This Impenetrable Forest is as well full of birds, butterfly and plant species plus forest hog, forest elephants. After the trekking your guide picks you and make the drive to Lake Bunyonyi, which is offers beautiful scenic nature and a chance for a swim

DAY 11: AFTER BREAKFAST TRANSFER TO LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK
Enjoy your breakfast and then set of to continue driving through the hilly areas on to the vast savannah dotted with acacia and shrubs in Lake Mburo national park. The target is to have lunch at the lodge and then head out for a game-drive to discover Lake Mburo national park, the ‘Zebra magnet’ of Uganda. We game-drive for view of Zebras, Topis, Warthogs, cape buffaloes and impalas.

DAY 12: : EARLY MORNING WALK AND TRANSFER TO ENTEBBE
On the last day of your family safari in Uganda get up early for a safari walk with chance to see zebras, waterbucks, birds and buffaloes in their day break jungle life! Get back for breakfast and then drive back to Entebbe. Stop over at equator for photo poses and lunch. Continue on to Entebbe for your flight. Plan for an evening/night flight.
