This 6 Days Uganda Gorilla and Chimpanzee Trekking Safari will give you an opportunity to experience several primate species and the famous being the two great ape’s mountain gorillas and chimpanzees. This trip will bring you face to face interaction with these apes in the rain forest Kibale national park and the Bwindi impenetrable national park for chimpanzee tracking and gorilla trekking.
Day 1: Welcoming you to the Pearl of Africa
On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, accompany representative will be eagerly waiting to receive you and transfer you to your hotel. most flights arrive in the afternoon or night which is very late to drive to the national park so you will spend the night in Entebbe and prepare selves for the next day when we shall travel to the national park.
Accommodation option: Boma Entebbe / Airport Link / Via Via Hotel Entebbe / Blue Monkey Lodge.

Day 2: Entebbe – Kibale National Park
After breakfast you will be ready your journey to Kibale national park the capital of primates the journey will take you through the country side and you will arrive at the park in the afternoon after stop over for lunch in the beautiful city fort portal. after you will proceed to Kibale to explore the apes.
Accommodation option: Primate lodge, Chimpanzee forest guest, Kibale forest camp and Bigodi lodge
Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking
After morning breakfast, you will be transferred to the park headquarters for briefing before starting to track the chimpanzee. The experienced guide will lead you through the tropical forest for unforgettable and reward experience in search for closest relatives (chimpanzee) after finding them, you will spend an hour with them. And later you will go back to the lodge for your lunch. After lunch, you will go for a swamp walk in Bigodi swamp this walk through wetland will bring you close to the nature, you might have sightings of the red tailed monkey, L-host monkey and many bird species such as blue toraco, hornbill among others, you will have a chance to meet the community and have a coffee processing experience, banana juice, brewing and conversations wine, the medicine man. This activity allows you spend more time in the forest learning more about the life of the chimpanzee, their habitant, lifestyle and others. Return back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at previous lodge.
Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, check out of your lodge and get prepared to start your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable national park home to half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. Bwindi impenetrable forest is a UNESCO heritage site hosting numbers of tree species, birdlife, primates, mammals, insects among others. The journey will give you great memories as you will be enjoying the beautiful sceneries depending on the sector of Bwindi you will track in your night drive through the park.

Day 5: Uganda Gorilla Trekking
Gorillas are amazing creatures with so much power therefore they are known as the gentle giants. With your packed lunch you will be transferred to the park headquarters for briefing, after the briefing, you will be allocated to gorilla families and arranged park rangers who will lead you in the forest. The ranger guide will brief you about the time you’re supposed to spend in the forest and after this you will be divided into different groups to trek the specified gorilla family. Once you allocate the gorillas with the help of your guide and trackers, you will be allowed to stay with them for only one hour, the gorilla tracking can take several hours depending on where the they rested the previous night, we advise that you take potter to help you with your day and also assist you as you walk through the steep areas in the forest back to the UWA offices and receive your trekking certificate back to your lodge for refreshments. After minutes of rest proceed to Batwa cultural experience learning about their life style in the forest. Back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: End of your Uganda Primate Safari
We hope you have had a fantastic time and restful night after the gorilla trekking so after your breakfast checkout of the lodge and transfer to Entebbe airport via Kabale with lunch En-route at Igongo culture center Mbarara then after you proceed to Entebbe airport with a stopover at equator for snaps and equator experience then proceed to the Entebbe airport for your flight back home.
